Mega Flow Separator

Unlike conventional separators, Expro’s Mega Flow separator breaks new ground in separation technology.

It is designed to satisfy the requirements for high capacity gas, oil and water separation while remaining easily transportable for use both onshore and offshore.

This portability has been made possible by its design which combines both horizontal and vertical separation technologies, thus enabling it to have a smaller footprint and overall weight than a conventional horizontal separator.

The mega flow separator has two stages of separation. In the first phase all the liquid is spun out of the gas by centrifugal force and collected at the bottom of the liquid chamber sump. In the second phase, the small amount of liquid entrained in the gas is removed by an increased centrifugal force and is then collected separately.

The separator can be dismantled into 5 skids allowing easy transportation. The combination of horizontal and vertical separation technology minimised the footprint area when assembled ensuring that it can be used in the majority of offshore installations.

A large liquid chamber gives a high capacity for gas / liquid separation. The separator is designed to handle a large temperature range and high working pressures providing great operations flexibility.
