Energy is changing

21st April 2021

As we approach World Earth Day, 22nd April, it would be wrong not to stop and take a moment to remind ourselves of the importance in protecting our planet.

Our industry is part of the solution to address a lower carbon future, and we are committed to playing our part to be more relevant in today’s world. With a determined commitment to product portfolio enhancement, increasing sophistication in technology, and the application of resources and IP development, we will continue advancing and developing to engineer a lower carbon future.

Ultimately making an impact on the future of each and every one of us.

We will do this by enhancing what we do today, maximising our operational efficiency, and creating plans to make a difference in the future. By achieving a 50% reduction in CO2e by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050, the developed roadmap underpinned by the four elements outlines Expro’s commitment to engineering the future energy transition.

We look towards the future, but we have already started today. 40% of our research and development is dedicated to addressing customers’ carbon reduction challenges. Our role is crucial in the success of the energy transition operations. We will continue to provide and optimise opportunities to develop lighter environmental footprint technologies while exploring the part we play to enhance energy sources - hydrates, geothermal, hydrogen, water, flare emission analysis, gas to power, and hydrogen methane.

We will not only achieve our customers' sustainability targets but our own. We have joined CDP, a worldwide knowledge non-for-profit charity, who run a global environmental disclosure system. This supports companies, cities, states and regions to measure and manage their risks and opportunities on climate change, water security and deforestation. CDP provides us with a benchmarking framework to set targets and collect data to measure against and move forward.

With a dedicated work focus and outlined strategy, we will continue to deliver extraordinary performance whilst improving practices to reduce harm to the environment and promote sustainable practices. To engineer a future that allows us to deliver today and plan for tomorrow.
